5. Mind Detox

Detoxing your mind is one part of detoxing that you don’t want to overlook.  One of our favorite ways is to practice a walking meditation around the Farmstead, but you don’t have to have a Farmstead for this practice, it can be done anywhere! Here’s how….

Go for a 10-15 minute walk without any technology or anything in your hands (that means no dog leash, no phone, nada!)

During the walk, just observe.  Start by focusing on the sound of your footsteps. Then notice the other sounds that surround you. Observe the colors you see and feel the breeze on your face. Try to be present and in the moment, soaking in the experience through all your senses.

This is a great introduction to meditation, and the perfect way to detox your mind of negative thoughts.
