How to Apply
Warm up the product by rubbing your finger over the surface in a circular motion until a thin film forms. If you are in a warm climate where the product is softer a tiny dab will do! Apply the thin film gently under your arm and let it absorb into the skin. Only if you feel you need more to cover the entire area, reapply. One application a day is all most of our customers use – try it and see!
Use Tips
• DO NOT apply to broken skin, including directly after shaving
• Remember to use a thin film NOT a thick layer. LESS IS MORE!
• Excessive use of any product can lead to irritation. If slight irritation suddenly occurs after you have been enjoying our deodorant, it is likely caused by using too much product. It is not harmful but can be irritating! Rinse your armpit with a pH balancer such as Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice diluted with water and once the irritations subsides try using less product. Just like most things in life, you can have TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING! And the benefit? The less you use the longer it will last.
Note: Even though our honey-based formula is balanced and designed to address baking soda sensitivity, if you are sensitive to baking soda a mild tolerable rash may appear under your armpit during the first few days after trying our product. In this case, it is likely just your body adjusting. However, on the off chance you are one of the small percentage of people that has a more intense reaction to baking soda on your skin, you may develop an irritating rash. If this occurs, discontinue use of the product. Cleanse the area and try applying soothing Aloe Vera. Also, try dabbing on an acidic ingredient such as Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice diluted in some water. It will help neutralize the pH and help the rash to heal faster. Once healed, if you determine that in fact you are sensitive to baking soda try our baking soda free formula ‘Raw Honey, Magnesium & Activated Charcoal instead!
Shelf Life
Our product is best before 12 months if stored away from heat and sunlight. Use within 6 months of opening. It has a naturally varying consistency depending on if you are in a hot or cold climate that does not indicate an issue with the product or change its effectiveness.

BDirty Deodorant will soften but the natural oils do not separate out in heat like many other natural cream deodorant products. In fact, some of our most loyal users live off the grid in the tropical heat of Maui, Hawaii and claim that there is no better natural deodorant product on the market!

We have chosen to use amber glass packaging not only to protect our product from sunlight but more importantly to protect the environment. Our recyclable and reusable glass jars not only make great containers for use in the home by our customers if they wish, but have the intended purpose of eventually being part of the future “BDirty Refillable or Returnable Packaging Program”.

How long will my jar of BDirty Deodorant Last?
Generally, the 70 g jar should be a 3-6 month supply, and the 25g jar just over a month’s supply, depending on frequency of use. LESS IS MORE. Why is BDirty Deodorant not is a plastic tube like other deodorants?
At BDirty we believe in reducing the overall global plastic footprint wherever we possibly can. We hope to limit our contribution to the growing plastic crisis that we are facing on our planet and in our oceans. Also, amber glass jars protect our products from breakdown due to sunlight and help us to preserve them for longer periods without the use of additives and preservatives.
Applying deodorant using my fingers seems odd to me. Is it sanitary?
BDirty deodorant is naturally antibacterial so sticking your finger in it is not a sanitary concern like many face creams and skincare products. Also, gentle fingertip application benefits your health by providing a daily lymphatic massage. Even better, if you have a tiny bit left on your finger after you apply, rub it into your cuticles to condition them. Two products in one!
I am travelling to a warm climate. Will BDirty Deodorant separate and make a mess in my bag?
No, unless like me you forget to tighten your lids – lol! Our 25g jars should last just over a month and are the perfect size for your yoga, gym or carry-on bag. The consistency will change in warmer temperatures, however it will not separate into an oily mess like many other natural deodorants. Keep in mind that in warm climates it will be very soft so resist the urge to use too much! A tiny dab will do!
Is BDirty Deodorant ok for sensitive skin? I heard baking soda is not good for people with sensitive skin.
Yes! We have many customers with “sensitive skin” who cannot use other natural deodorant products yet love BDirty. However, even though our honey-based formula is balanced and designed to address baking soda sensitivity, a small percentage of individuals can still be sensitive to the alkalinity of baking soda. If you are one of these individuals try our baking soda free formula ‘Raw Honey, Magnesium & Activated Charcoal! We all have a unique body chemistry and if you have any concerns from using baking soda products in the past we recommend trying a patch test on your forearm. A mild and tolerable rash for up to a week may mean your body is just adjusting to our natural baking soda product or you are using too much. LESS IS MORE! However, if the rash continues, is burning and intolerable, stop using it. Cleanse the area and try applying soothing Aloe Vera. Also, try dabbing on an acidic ingredient such as Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice diluted in some water. It will help neutralize the pH and help the rash to heal faster. Remember, do not apply to broken skin, including directly after shaving.
